Coneybeare is proud to be working on a large solar installation in San Francisco!

Part of the challenge is to complete such a great project in a circumscribed amount of time. Also, solar installation is very physically demanding work.  Coneybeare is so pleased to have solar installers who are always taking the initiative while on the job! Keep up the great work!!

Coneybeare attends SolarTech’s Workforce Symposium in Cupertino

Coneybeare’s Sabrina Dove attended SolarTech Workforce Symposium focusing on Solar & Energy Workforce Trends & Opportunities at DeAnza College last Thursday, October 1st.

SolarTech works with multiple partners to identify and address business needs for a flexible workforce and develop strategies, ensuring effective workforc

A diverse range of participants attended–varying from HR directors of large solar companies, workforce development / training centers, solar PV instructors, small solar business owners, and renewable energy job seekers.

A common theme presented was the need for job seekers to receive high quality job-related training and hands on experience in order to be considered for the most competitive solar companies. Another theme emphasized was how solar financing is intricately linked to jobs, job creations, etc. Lastly, there is apparently a dearth of people with financial acumen in the solar industry.

Coneybeare at West Coast Green

Coneybeare was invited by the Green Career Institute and had a table in the jobs section at West Coast Green last Friday, October 2nd. Victoria Betancourt and Sabrina Dove met dozens of green building and renewable energy enthusiasts and job seekers.

It was great to share a table with Duncan Cleminshaw, Director of Career Services at the Green Career Institute and to run into GCI’s Director of Curriculum, Raphaelle Richarde. It was also nice to see Brian Johnson of JobTrain in East Palo Alto, California.

Coneybeare interviews potential solar PV installers at the Green Career Institute
